Ejari fees: what DLD's FAQ lists for registering a lease

Keyva ResearchSeptember 25, 2026

Creating an Ejari account is free. Registering a tenancy contract is not. DLD's FAQ lists AED 100 plus two AED 10 fees online, or AED 120 plus partner fees at a trustee centre (FAQ read 9 October 2026).

Ejari is the Dubai Land Department's system for registering tenancy contracts.

Does opening an Ejari account cost anything?

No. DLD's FAQ says "Creating an Ejari user account is free of charge" (FAQ read 9 October 2026).

An account is only a login. It lets you use the system and start a submission. It does not register your lease.

What does registering a tenancy contract cost?

DLD's FAQ answers "How much does Ejari renewal cost?" as follows: through the Dubai REST app or DLD's website, AED 100 for registering a tenancy contract, plus an AED 10 knowledge fee and an AED 10 innovation fee; through a Real Estate Services Trustee Center, AED 120, plus service partners' fees of AED 95 plus VAT (FAQ read 9 October 2026).

The FAQ gives these figures under "renewal". It does not give a separate figure for a first registration.

The FAQ lists the account question and the fee question as separate entries, because it is organised by service category.

How do you pay?

DLD's FAQ says you can add balance to the Ejari system through the Noqodi wallet, via Al Ansari Exchange or by bank transfer to a Noqodi account at affiliated banks.

Who registers the contract?

DLD's FAQ says registering Ejari is the responsibility of both tenant and landlord. It adds that in most cases the tenant or the real estate agent completes it.

Rent increases at renewal are a separate matter from Ejari fees. Keyva's rent increase page covers them.
