Land, building and unit records in DLD's open data

Keyva ResearchAugust 27, 2026

Dubai Land Department's open-data portal keeps land, buildings and units in three separate tabs, each with its own columns. The portal, read 9 October 2026, lists those columns but does not explain them or say how the records relate to a title deed.

What does the Land tab hold?

The Land search, read 9 October 2026, filters by project, land type, area and whether the land is freehold. The land types listed are Residential, Agricultural, Industrial, Commercial, Public Facilities and Government Authority.

What does the Building tab hold?

The Building Details download lists, among others: property sub type, property size, common area, actual common area, built-up area, building levels, shops, flats, offices, swimming pools, elevators, floors, rooms and parking. Each record also names its land number, land sub number, project and area, and says whether it is freehold or leasehold.

What does the Unit tab hold?

The Unit Details download lists, among others: unit number, property sub type, property size, balcony area, common area, actual common area, floor, room type, parking and parking allocation type. Each record also names its building number and name, land number, project and area.

How are the three linked?

By numbers in the records. A building record carries a land number. A unit record carries a building number and a land number. That is what the columns show. The portal does not say more about how the records combine.

What does this page not cover?

The portal does not explain how these records relate to a title deed, to service charges or to what may be built on a plot. Keyva has not read a DLD source on those points, so this page makes no claim about them.

DLD's FAQ (read 9 October 2026) does describe some unit changes. For example, separating or merging units with a title deed needs, among other documents, a No Objection Certificate from the developer or the jointly owned property management company.

Where are sale prices?

Sale prices are in a fourth tab, Transactions. Keyva's areas pages show registered sale prices by area. Keyva's listing checks page links to DLD's and RERA's own public checks. Keyva is independent and is not part of, or endorsed by, either body.
